Details
The Marion VA Medical Center was recently recognized as an official Partner of the Department of Defense Vietnam War Commemoration and will be hosting and participating in events to recognize Vietnam Veterans on Tuesday, March 29th.

There are more than 7 million living Vietnam Veterans and 9 million families of those who served between November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975 in the U.S. today. As the Nation takes the opportunity to honor these Veterans, locally there will be a Vietnam Veteran reception at the Marion VA Center for Behavioral Health from 9am to 3pm and later that afternoon SIU Baseball’s Military Appreciation Night with special recognition for Vietnam Veterans starts at 5pm.

Everyone is invited to attend these events and join us in recognizing this special group of Veterans who may not have experienced a warm welcome home when they returned many years ago.

For more information, please contact Beth Lamb, Marion VA Public Affairs at 618-997-8241 or 843-371-7333 (cell).
