Let me invite you to our reception for LEAA's 4th annual quilt and fiber exhibit.
The exhibit features quilts, wall hangings, inspired pin cushions, art dolls and a variety of hand crafted items. We have a "Challenge" portion of the exhibit with a cash award for the best of show (I just learned that Marie Samuel won for her lovely original wall hanging. The art works for the challenge can be executed in any medium, but have to contain certain elements. Our 2017 Challenge is themed "Under the Sea", is open to all southern Illinois artists, all media, with a size restriction of 36" x 36". We've already been hearing buzz about this theme. Our LEAFS (Little Egypt Art Fiber Society) group is planning to create Mermaid dolls - won't that be sweet?
