Event Description
The Irwindale Chamber of Commerce is offering a unique opportunity to experience the Chinese culture, history and business.
 
Through a partnership with Citslinc International, the Chamber is offering a cost effective trip to China on October 7-15, 2018. The trip includes stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou with opportunities to visit historic sites like the Great Wall of China and Tian An Men Square. There is also an opportunity to visit with a local Chinese business. The meeting is optional and requires filling out an business inquiry form indicating what type of business or industry you are interested in learning more about.
 
We’re excited to organize an Irwindale Chamber China Tour. This is an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the China. It’s extremely affordable and includes visits to major cities, various economic zones and major historical sites.
 
The trip includes airfare from Los Angeles, hotel accommodations at 4 & 5 star hotels, three full meals a day, and professional drivers and tour operators. The cost is $2,599 per person for double occupancy. 
 
Some of the highlights include visiting the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs, and The Bund.
 
The Chamber is also hosting an orientation meeting on November 16th, 2017 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Monrovia from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Leo Liu, owner of Citslinc, will be answering questions regarding the trip.

Day 1 10/7 Los Angeles/Beijing
Check in at Los Angeles International Airport one night before for an early morning flight  to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.
 
Day 2 10/8 Beijing(Beijing Marriot City Wall/5star, No.7 Jian Guo Men South Ave. Dong Cheng District, Tel: 0086-10-58118888)
Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 5:30am. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world, and the Palace Museum, also know as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms. After lunch be transferred to the hotel for a rest..
 
Day 3 10/9 Beijing
Visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic venues for the outside views of National Stadium the Bird’s Nest and the National Aquatic Center.  Continue the tour to the Great Wall. En route visit the Jade Factory. The Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Visit one of the Ming tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors’ Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Have a business meeting with local government.
 
Day 4 10/10 Beijing
Visit the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest. Visit the Pearl Market. The city tour continues with the Summer Palace, known for many significance such as the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat. Peking Roast Duck dinner is arranged.

Morning flight to Shanghai CA1831 7:30am/9:40am, then take a bus riding to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to the Tiger Hill
 
Day 6 10/12 Suzhou/Hangzhou(Sanli New Century Grand Hotel Zhejiang/5star, No. 538 Shaoxing Road,Xiacheng District, Tel: 0086-571-85099999
Morning visit the Suzhou Silk factory. Continue the tour with the centuries old Lingering Garden. Afternoon visit to the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Take a bus riding to Hangzhou.
 
Day 7 10/13  Hangzhou/Shanghai(Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel/5 star, No.50 Tongchuan Road, Putuo District, Tel: 0086-21-22195888)
In the morning have a boat ride on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas. Visit the Longjing Green Tea Plantation. The centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha. Continue the bus journey to Shanghai.                  
 
Day 8 10/14 Shanghai
The Bund, a famous waterfront park. Visit the Shanghai Silk Rug Factory. Afternoon enjoy the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Free time exploration of the old town bazaar. Visit the Pudong District.
 
Day 9 10/15 Shanghai/Los Angeles
Depart by afternoon flight  to take a stopover at Beijing. Afternoon flight  will depart in the evening  for Los Angeles.
