The Ultimate Craft Challenge: Maxtivity Maker Mayhem

Get ready for a night of creativity, competition, and community spirit as Maxtivity Creative Space proudly presents a 21+ event, Maxtivity Maker Mayhem sponsored by Henderer Design Build Remodel! This highly anticipated live art-making competition for adults will take place on Friday, September 20th, at the Corvallis Community Center, (2601 NW Tyler Ave, Corvallis). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a fun-filled silent auction, food and beverages available for sale from Nick’s Soul Food and Oakshire Brewing, followed by the main event at 7:00 p.m.

Inspired by popular reality TV shows like Project Runway, Chopped, and Iron Chef, the Maxtivity Maker Mayhem pits five teams of local artists, makers, and creatives against each other in a series of timed crafting challenges. The catch? All materials are sourced from the unique and diverse inventory of Maxtivity Creative Space, meaning every masterpiece must be crafted from recycled, upcycled, and repurposed items. Competitors will be judged on their creativity, innovation, and ability to think on their feet as they strive to earn the title of Max Maker.

The Maxtivity Maker Mayhem is unlike any other event in our community,” says Louise-Annette Burgess, Executive Director of Maxtivity. “It’s a high-energy, creative showdown that brings together artists, makers, and fans of creative reuse for a night of fun, laughter, and pure ingenuity—all in support of our mission to provide equitable access to creative opportunities.”
