About Backpack Society
At Backpack Society, we are driven by a single goal~To provide children in our community the food they need to grow, learn and thrive.
With the support of neighbors, businesses & our partner schools, Backpack Society provides food to kids on weekends and breaks when they are away from school.
Our 4 Programs:
1-Student Weekend Bags, filled with 6 meals & snacks.
2-Family Grocery Program, an option for families to shop in our no-cost market, or pick up a box of food. Both options consist of milk, eggs, meat, produce & pantry items.
3-In School Pantries, for kids that are hungry at school in between meals.
4-Crisis Boxes, to get students and families through 24 hours during a crisis, until county services can be enabled.
We partner with schools in Douglas County, Littleton & Englewood School Districts to reach students in need.
At our food bank in Highlands Ranch, Backpack Society collects food donations and raises funds for students who are struggling with food insecurity.
We are a 100% community supported nonprofit based in Highlands Ranch, offering volunteer, team building, corporate sponsorships and small business partnership opportunities.
