Member Spotlight: Joanne LaPorta from Accent on Hearing!
Born and raised in New York, Joanne LaPorta moved to Colorado 22 years ago. She presently lives in Parker with her husband, John and they are the proud parents to three sons, Sean - 27, Patrick - 25, and Brian - 22.
After working as an audiologist for 20 years, Joanne felt compelled to start her own practice. With the wonderful support of her husband and a colleague, Accent on Hearing was opened in 2005. Joanne knew she could offer her community comfortable, trustworthy, and professional attention to their hearing health; addressing not only hearing loss and tinnitus, but hearing prevention as well.
Joanne loves what she does! Hearing loss and tinnitus can negatively affect people’s lives causing frustration, depression, isolation, stress, and strained relationships. Joanne counsels her patients about their hearing so that they may take back their lives. She has the privilege to see patients talk on the phone for the first time in years, hear the birds outside, hear children laugh, or simply have a quiet conversation. For Accent on Hearing patients with tinnitus that has been bothersome for years, Joanne sees that stress and anxiety diminished. To see the look in their eyes and the smiles on their faces is truly priceless and life-changing to Joanne.
The Accent on Hearing team focuses on providing patients with customized treatment plans that are professionally conservative while utilizing the most current industry technology. Advancements such as direct Bluetooth connectivity and rechargeability in hearing aids and tinnitus devices make the need for wearing such devices streamlined and effortless.
Accent on Hearing has recently joined the Castle Pines Chamber as a way of further connecting with the community. Proudly, they’ve been voted “Best of the Best” 4 years in a row and look forward to serving the residents and professionals of Castle Pines with exceptional hearing healthcare.
