RACE THROUGH THE PINES, KIDS COLOR DASH AND FREE FAMILY FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND! Race Through The Pines 5K and 1K Kids Color Dash October 6 Elk Ridge Park 9am-Noon Race Through the Pines (formerly Run Wild) has a new name, a new look and an awesome new partnership with RUN to Change Lives™ to make this race a memorable and fun experience for everyone who attends! 5K race registration includes, a fun race with special kilometer surprises, T-shirts for all runners, medals, race bibs, kids activities, vendor booths, a FREE pancake breakfast, beer for adults, music, a farmers market and MORE! The Kids Color Dash is going to be a BLAST! Kids ages 12 and under will get to run a fun 1K while they are are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. For an entire afternoon, the center welcomes hundreds of local pets and their owners to a fun, relaxing day of beer tasting, food truck bites and live entertainment as they enjoy a beautiful afternoon at Colorado’s favorite pet-friendly center. Additionally, pet adoptions will be available on-site and all proceeds will benefit Humane Society of the South Platte Valley.
