Salt And Light Music Ministries
Salt And Light Music Ministries was born out of a profound calling to spread the joy of music and worship across the globe. Our founder, Jabes Perez, was inspired during his four years as a missionary in the Peruvian desert, where he led the Salt & Light Worship Band. Upon his return to the United States, and with the encouragement of his friend Levi, Jabes pursued the dream of creating a music mission. After marrying, Jabes and his wife Shaina felt the Lord's call to minister in new places, leading to the establishment of a Free Vocal Training Program in Magnolia, Texas, in March 2023. With the generous support of the community and the assistance of Mr. Nathan Ingram, we procured the necessary instruments and appointed Genesis Rojas as our Peru Coordinator to commence our mission in Pachacutec, Peru, in April 2023.
By August 2023, our reach expanded with the launch of an online program for an Assemblies of God church in Huacho, Peru, initially offering piano lessons and later including guitar and vocal training by February 2024. Our commitment to comprehensive music education culminated in the introduction of a music theory class in March 2024. Currently, our programs are fully operational, with our free vocal training now held in Spring, Texas, under the leadership of Levi Uzodike. Looking ahead, we are determined to establish a new location for our Vocal Training Program in Clarksville, Tennessee, by 2024. Our mission remains steadfast: to support over 50 children in Peru currently benefiting from our programs and to expand our outreach, providing music education to those in need both in the United States and abroad.
