About Stewart County Friends of the Library/Joanna Bailey (Treasurer)
Stewart County Friends Of The Library
Welcome to Stewart County Friends Of The Library, a beacon of knowledge, community, and creativity in the heart of Dover, TN. Since our establishment in 1966, we have been dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for reading, a passion for learning, and an affinity for artistic expression.
With roots tracing back to 1942, when we opened our doors in a modest room within the county courthouse, we evolved alongside the community we serve. Over the years, our commitment to excellence led us to larger spaces, culminating in our current state-of-the-art 7,000-square-foot facility, which became our cherished home in 2001.
Today, Stewart County Friends Of The Library proudly serves a vibrant community of 13,561 residents. Our enduring mission is to be more than a repository of books; we are a hub of intellectual curiosity, a space where minds converge and ideas flourish.
In 2014, we enhanced our offerings with a pavilion, providing a serene haven for individuals to connect, collaborate, and engage. This welcoming space, equipped with Wi-Fi, invites all to study, read, and share moments of camaraderie, both during regular hours and beyond.
We invite you to embark on a journey with us, where the love of reading, the joy of learning, and the art of creating come together harmoniously. Explore our rich collection, partake in our diverse programs, and be a part of a community that celebrates the boundless potential of the human mind.
Thank you for being a part of our story. Together, let us continue to illuminate minds and enrich lives.
