Larry H. Miller, who passed away in 2009, strongly supported giving back in the communities where he did business. The Miller family and LHM Group employees continue to carry on Larry’s legacy to “Go about doing good until there’s too much good in the world.” Since 2010, more than 9,744 employees have donated over 38,972 hours at 192 locations in seven states.
 
This year the Larry H. Miller Albuquerque Family has chosen to work with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber on a cleanup effort in the Barelas community in South downtown Albuquerque where the Chamber is housed. This effort will include a full makeover of the Joseph J. Baca park attached at the triangle on the south side of the chamber campus. The Larry H Miller Team and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber President Ernie C de’ Baca and Vice President Jim Garcia, would like to thank its partners that also gave, to make this very special day happen:

• City of Albuquerque Economic Development Office, Director Synthia Jaramillo
• City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Department, Director Matthew Whelan

Please join us in our kick-off hour on Thursday April 26^th, at 8am for the Larry H. Miller Day of Service, along with 40+ Larry H. Miller employees, Hispano Chamber staff and our partners, for donuts and coffee and a one day transformation that will revitalize and lift up our amazing community in the city that we call home!
 
 

If you have not attended an Amigos Breakfast event yet, and you might not have since this was just the second one, then you need to be sure and add the next Amigos Breakfast to your calendar! Why? Because the format is excellent for getting to meet another AHCNM member spending 15 minutes getting to talk 1-on-1 with them as you prepare to give a 1-minute presentation about them and their business. If you are shy and do not like the usual just show up and mingle style networking event, then this is the kind of networking event for you. Luis and Amber will welcome you and even help you get paired up if you need it.

We’ve scheduled these sessions to be flexible and fit your schedule. Feel free to drop in for a single session or come for multiple days

This program will nurture small businesses by connecting them to critical resources; helping them to grow faster, creating jobs and strengthening our economy. The series will be six classes each quarter (every 3 months), with anticipated program launch the week of April 17th, 2018.
