Giving to charity is an important financial priority for many people. Most often this takes the form of donating cash or material goods to a favorite nonprofit. A less common strategy – but one that may be worth considering – is to give the gift of appreciated stock. When managed correctly, donating appreciated stock can be beneficial for the charity and the donor, allowing the donor to make a larger gift while potentially claiming a higher tax deduction.
It is graduation time in South Texas and the Alice Ambassadors wish all the area graduates the best. This year, the Ambassadors are presenting a couple of scholarships to some deserving high school seniors.
BBB offers tips for workers during National Safety Month
June is National Safety Month, an annual observance to educate people and businesses on the importance of safety in the workplace, at home and on the road. As part of Better Business Bureau’s mission, BBB encourages and supports best practices by educating consumers, employees and businesses.
