The Alice Chamber of Commerce is holding its Annual Golf Classic on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Alice Municipal Golf Course.
Texas shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes on August 5, 6 and 6 - the state’s annual tax holiday. Lay-away plans can be used again this year to take advantage of the sales tax holiday. This year includes items sold online, by telephone or mail.
Half of the year has gone by and it’s time to start thinking about the Board leadership for the Chamber. Marisol Carvajal-Garcia is the Board President –Elect and in accordance with the Chamber By-Laws, a nominations committee was established to replace five out-going board members.
Business scams are everywhere today. We get them in our mailboxes, emails and over the telephone. People across America fall to scam or fraud case every day. Innocent people fall pray often losing their life savings by smooth-talking artists over the telephone or by a simple get-rich scheme that just sounds too good to be true.
