Tax free holiday set for this month

Texas shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes on August 11, 12 and 13 - the state’s annual tax holiday. Lay-away plans can be used again this year to take advantage of the sales tax holiday. This year includes items sold online, by telephone or mail.

More than 70 members attended our July Chamber Luncheon sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank. No one won the cash drawing so we will add $100 to the September Luncheon sponsored by the Alice Rotary Club on Wed. Sept. 20th.
