The Alice Chamber of Commerce has been recognized by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) for the third time this year. The Alice Chamber received the Program of the Year in Education for its role in promoting the Eagle Ford Shale with its Old Fashioned Barbecue.

I remember the day things changed.  We had a new executive administrator and she implemented all the new corporate policies. The shop guys lost their sexy girl calendars, we all underwent human resource training, and were given our Employee Handbooks.  On that day appropriate behavior became the norm!  No mas horse play.

Chamber Mixer

The Alice Chamber of Commerce held a Chamber Mixer sponsored by the Alice Counseling Center as the center celebrated its 30th Anniversary on Tuesday, Ocotber 30th. Many attended the event held at the center located on Wright Street a block from downtown.

Tourism security as a marketing tool

Tourism security professionals and managers often (and justly) complain that they are considered expendable due to the fact that the other parts of the tourism industry perceive them as adding nothing to the bottom line.  In fact often tourism officials believe that security is simply and added and required expense that must be accepted, be that expense a burden.
