CHRISTMAS TIME!!

Local Volunteers and Organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Baird will once again decorate light poles along 4th Street (Business 20), the Depot, Downtown, and Christmas Village in The Arches.  Please join us in our efforts by calling 854-2003 or 854-1212 to be added to our list.  We hope to have more homes decorated to bring visitors to Baird looking for great Christmas light displays!  Thank you to our SPONSORS for Christmas Village:  Homestead Long Term Care, First Bank Texas, & Hanner Supercenter.

Baird Activity Center (Light Plant)

The Chamber has utilized available funds from early this year to update the BAC.  First, foundation repairs and new front doors were installed during the early summer months.  The six murals found new homes at The T&P Depot Museum, The Arches, the Courthouse, and Plaza Corner Antiques.  The old insulation has been replaced with new spray foam insulation, and the walls and ceiling in the main room have been painted.
The City of Baird is installing new ceiling fans, new blinds for the windows, and updating some electrical wiring.  The City also has plans to paint the exterior under each window, ramp railing, and the kitchen door.  Kitchen and bathroom updates will happen during the winter months.  Call City Hall at 854-1212 to rent this for space for your event.

Hunter's Supper

We held a raffle drawing on September 30th for a 4'X6' deer blind to help with Hunter's Supper expenses.  Congrats to Greg Wood of Abilene who loaded up on Saturday, October 1st to head to the deer lease!  Hunter's Supper is on Saturday, November 5th at 7pm in the Baird Activity Center (Light Plant).  A gun raffle is now taking place with the drawing to be held at the Hunter's Supper.  Tickets can be purchased at City Hall or First Bank Texas for your chance to win.  You do not have to be present to win.

A HUGE thanks to our sponsors:  Baird Drive In Grocery, Cat & BarbBQ, Charlie Dawson A/C & Heating, Crooked Creek Meats, First Bank Texas, Goldsmith Dozers, Hanner Supercenter, Homestead Long Term Care, Missy Oliver with Remax of Abilene, T&B Mechanical, and Wagyu Ranch.
