About Us

The YMCA’s strength is in the people we bring together. We have a foothold in eight different neighborhoods within our five-county area. In each area we are united with other organizations to address the root cause of problems, preventing many of them on the front end. Research shows the more development opportunities young people experience in their daily lives, the more likely they are to engage in positive, thriving behaviors, such as succeeding in school, helping others, and maintaining good health.
YMCA programs that support Strong Families include: Childcare, PrYme Time (before and afterschool care), teen and camp programs, Adventure Guides, outreach programs and youth sports.
