The Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of attending the annual prayer breakfast for First Coast Women's Services.  This was a great event with great food and even better fellowship.  Thanks to First Coast Women's Services for all that they do in the community.

Brian Teeple with the Northeast Florida Regional Council came to the Chamber for a Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, February 2nd.  Brian gave a great presentation on "Economic Development and the Multiplier Effect".  He spoke to a great crowd of around 20 members and business leaders in the community.  Thanks to those who were able to attend the Lunch & Learn!!!

The 6th Annual Glitz, Glam & Goodies was held on Saturday, February 6th at the Ag Center in Macclenny.  We had a total of 13 vendors that participated in the event as well as a bloodmobile was there to accept blood donations.  Our entertainment was provided by the adorable singers from Macclenny Elementary.  We would like to thank the businesses who donated the raffle prizes this year: Gibson McDonald Furniture donated 2 recliners that were won by JoAnn Dugan, Wal-Mart Supercenter donated a patio set that was won by JoAnn Dugan as well, and the Chamber of Commerce donated a $100 Visa gift card that was won by Penny Branch.  We would also like to thank all of the vendors that participated in the event this year and a special thanks goes out to the sponsors of the event:  Country Federal Credit Union, Haven Hospice of North Central FL and TD Bank.

The 26th Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Bent Creek Golf Course (10440 Tournament Lane in Jacksonville).  Registration starts at 8 am with a shotgun start at 9 am.  Entry fee is $60 per player and includes green fees, cart, buffet lunch, prizes, range/warm up balls and drawings.  Deadline for entry is Friday, April 22, 2016.  Limited to first 120 players.  Corporate Sponsorship is $350 and includes two complimentary players, business name on putting green, newspaper recognition, name on sign displayed at Bent Creek Golf Course during tournament and displayed at the Chamber office for one year.  Hole Sponsorship is $125 and includes your business name being placed at one of the holes and newspaper recognition.  For more information, call (904) 259-6433 or email: bjenks@bakerchamberfl.com or hsands@bakerchamberfl.com.
