Players and Sponsors needed for Golf Tournament

The 21st Annual Golf Tournament is coming together fairly well, but we do still need some players!  A pretty important part of the tournament!  No players, no tournament!

Also, we could still use some hole sponsors ($125) and corporate sponsors ($350, includes two players).  Contact Barbara @ 259-6433 for sponsorships or to sign up to play.

New Bakery in Town

We have a new bakery in town and they are new members of the Chamber.  Let Them Eat Cakez.  They haven't opened yet, but should be opening very soon.  The tentative grand opening/ribbon cutting is Monday, April 4.  Keep your fingers crossed for them to be able to open at that time.  Lookin' forward to some yummy goodies!

Ribbon Cutting @ Happy Spa & Nails

The Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting for Happy Spa & Nails was Thursday, February 10 @ 5:30 pm.  Thanks to everyone that attended. Drop in sometime and meet Linda and welcome her to the community.

Glitz, Glam & Goodies

Glitz, Glam & Goodies is the name of a Chamber sponsored day for the ladies!  Its a day to promote Chamber businesses and some local non-member businesses that cater to the ladies specifically and some that have "girly stuff" in their stores. Chamber members get their booth (table) FREE.  Non-members pay $50 for a booth (table). The event will be held at the Ag Center Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. The cost will be $5 at the door.

We have three corporate sponsors for this event and would like to have one additional sponsor. The corporate sponsorship is $200 and the sponsors can set up tables with give-aways and/or info and put up a banner. If you would like to be a corporate sponsor, please call Barbara at 259-6433 or email bblackshear@bakerchamberfl.com.

Pre-K Classes visit the Chamber

Tuesday, February 15, three of the Pre-K classes from Macclenny Pre-K/Kindergarten Center visited the Chamber office. The children are taken to different businesses around town in order for them to see or hear what is done in various businesses.  Mr. Register did an excellent job talking with the children!  He even let them vote - and some of them were alittle indecisive.  Sounds familiar...

New Line @ Goodie 2 Shoes

Kaila Givens, owner of Goodie 2 Shoes, welcomes Mandi Canaday as a new team member. They have a new line of clothes for babies and toddlers.  They also now carry diaper bags and totes.  Drop in and check out their shoes and purses, as well as the new line of baby items.  Goodie 2 Shoes is located at  535 South Sixth Street, close to Baker County Farm Bureau.
