Congressman Al Lawson Visit



Congressman Al Lawson made a visit to the Chamber of Commerce office on Thursday, April 13th where he met with members of the Chamber board and local elected officials. After providing a brief update on recent government activities, Congressman Lawson listened to local concerns and offered ideas to help solve some of them.
 

National Small Business Week is April 30-May 6


The U.S. Small Business Administration defines small businesses as privately owned corporations, partnerships, or sole proprietorships that have fewer employees and/or less annual revenue than a regular-sized business or corporation.  For more information about National Small Business Week, please visit: www.sba.gov/nsbw/

7th Annual Glitz, Glam & Goodies-A LADIES EXTRAVAGANZA

The 7th Annual Glitz, Glam & Goodies will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 10am-3pm at the Ag Center, located at 1025 West Macclenny Avenue.  There will be vendor drawings, shopping and entertainment.  Vendor booths are available for $25 for Chamber members and $50 for non Chamber members.  If you are interested in getting a vendor booth, please call (904) 259-6433 or email: bjenks@bakerchamberfl.com or hsands@bakerchamberfl.com

2017 Independence Day Celebration

The 2017 Independence Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Memorial Park/Duck Pond Park (160 West Boulevard in Macclenny).  The celebration will begin at 5pm with vendor booths and entertainment as well as a game truck.  The fireworks will begin around 9pm and then immediately after the fireworks there will be a movie in the park.  For more information or to reserve a vendor booth, please contact the Baker County Chamber of Commerce at (904) 259-6433 or email: bjenks@bakerchamberfl.com or hsands@bakerchamberfl.com.

Lunch & Learn


The Chamber of Commerce hosted a Lunch & Learn at the Chamber office on Tuesday, April 18.  There was a great crowd of close to 20 in attendance.  The speaker was Crawford Powell with Impact Development Group who spoke on "Economic Development in Baker County" and gave a great presentation to those in attendance.  Be on the lookout for when the next Chamber Lunch & Learn will be held.
