Finally Friday Networking Event


We had another great morning at our 2nd Finally Friday Networking Breakfast.  Thank you all for sharing your time. Looking forward to our next networking event!! The next Finally Friday event is scheduled for May 10th at the Chamber of Commerce office. We look forward to everyone returning and seeing some new faces. Please spread the word. 

SBDC Mobile Office at the Chamber

Mark Yarick with the Small Business Development Center of the University of North Florida will have a mobile office set up at the Chamber every other Thursday.  The SBDC provides business owners with confidential consulting and training in all aspects of business management and growth.  They serve all stages of business from established & growing businesses to emerging and aspiring businesses.  There is no cost for business consulting or information.  If you would like to set up an appointment with Mark, you can contact the Chamber at (904) 259-6433.  For more information on the SBDC, visit     www.sbdc.unf.edu

Annual Chamber Golf Tournament




The 29th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament was held on Friday, April 5 at Quail Heights Golf Course in Lake City.  It was a beautiful day even though it started out a little wet, everyone had a great time. Congrats to the first place team of Tim Jacobs, Brad Morris and Bart Straughn.  Thanks to all of our sponsors for helping to make the tournament a success and thanks to all of the players that participated.  We look forward to next year!!!

Rural Counties Day



The Chamber of Commerce was able to participate in the Rural Counties Day in Tallahassee on Wednesday, April 17.  It was a great day and we were glad we were able to be a part of it!!!
 

Lunch & Learn


The Chamber will be having a Lunch & Learn on Thursday, May 16 starting at 12 noon.  The speaker will be Mark Yarick, consultant with the Florida SBDC in the North Central Florida region.  As a follow up from the last Lunch & Learn, Mark will be speaking on 4 Ways to Build Your Internet Presence-Part 2.  Attendees will learn the fundamentals to building an internet presence that a business owner needs to know, and most of them are free.  This workshop will cover more steps to increasing your business.  This lunch & learn is free for Chamber members and $5 for non chamber members. Please RSVP to bjenks@bakerchamberfl.com, hsands@bakerchamberfl.com or call (904) 259-6433.
 

2019 Independence Day Celebration



The 2019 Independence Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Memorial Park/Duck Pond Park (160 West Boulevard in Macclenny).  The celebration will begin at 5pm with vendor booths and entertainment as well as a game truck.  The fireworks will begin around 9pm and then immediately after the fireworks there will be a movie in the park.  The cost of a vendor booth is $40 for a non-profit, $50 for all other vendor booths and $100 for a Food Truck.  For more information or to reserve a vendor booth, please contact the Baker County Chamber of Commerce at (904) 259-6433 or email: bjenks@bakerchamberfl.com or hsands@bakerchamberfl.com.
