Kudos to the Dupont Company

Dupont Community Fund, a philanthropic program of the the mining company, E.I. Dupont de Nemours and Company, gave a $6000 grant check to the Baker County Sheriff's Office to purchase armored vests for the department's officers.  Dupont is a very active member of the Baker County Chamber of Commerce.  Thanks to Dupont for their service to our community.

Christmas Festivities

As many of you know, the Chamber  provides the candy bags that are given away by Santa after the Christmas parade.  In addition, last year, we started having Pictures with Santa at the office during the Christmas activities and bags of candy were given out to the children at that time.  These bags are filled with candy and/or fruit that is donated by our members.  The Chamber puts in each bag and in the Press, a thank you to the contributing members. It is that time again!  If you wish to donate candy, fruit or money to purchase candy and fruit, please drop your donation by the Chamber office by December 1.  Thanks to each of you that make this project successful.

Trick or Treat on Main Street

Our third annual Trick or Treat on Main Street was a success again this year.  We have lots of scary little creatures visiting us on main street to collect the goodies.  Thanks to all the downtown businesses that participated in this event. Trick or Treat on Main Street is held on the Saturday before Halloween and is open for participation by all downtown businesses.

Shop Baker First

Be looking for your first Shop Baker First holiday flyer.  This is the first time we've done this particular type of campaign.  Your participation will make it successful and it can be bigger & better next year. Chamber members should receive one via mail and participating members will have them in their stores. A big thank you to all the first year participating businesses.
