Community Hospice Lunch and Learn

Our first Lunch and Learn for 2013 was held Tuesday, February 19 at the Chamber.  This event was sponsored and presented by Community Hospice of NE Florida.  Maureen Paschke, our local representative with Community Hospice, shared the advantages and benefits of making the decision to call Community Hospice when that need arises.  If you need information about hospice, you can contact the Chamber office for names and telephone numbers.

23rd Annual Golf Tournament

The Chamber's annual golf tournament is right around the corner.  The event will be held at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jacksonville  Friday, April 19th.  Registration will begin at 8:30 with tee off at 9:00 am.  The price per player is $60 and includes continental breakfast, green fees, range balls, cart, prizes and lunch.

Hole sponsorships are available for $125 and corporate sponsorships for $350. The corporate sponsorship includes two players.   Both sponsorships include a sign located on the golf course, a sign board displayed during the tournament and a thank you in the Baker County Press.  Corporate sponsors are also located on a display in the Chamber office for the year.

We are excited that the tournament is going to be at Bent Creek.  We will be trying some new prizes and activities.   Call or email the Chamber to reserve your spot.

Glitz, Glam & Goodies

This is the third year of our Glitz, Glam & Goodies. This is a ladies event featuring local businesses that cater to women.  The location has been changed to Macclenny First Baptist Church Family Life Center.  The event will be held Saturday, May 18 from 10 am to 2 pm.  Member booths are FREE; non-members pay $50.  We will have some great raffle prizes and each booth is required to have a drawing.  Tables and chairs are furnished, but each booth needs to have their own tablecloth and decorations.  Admission will be $2.  There will be food and drinks available to purchase, as well as shopping from some local vendors.  A few of the participating vendors include Premier Jewelry, It Works, Lia Sophia, Scentimental Gifts, Goodie 2 Shoes,  and the American Cancer Society.  This event is sponsored by First Federal Bank of Florida, Gibson McDonald Furniture, Walmart DC and Oldcastle Southern Group.

For additional information, contact the Chamber at 259-6433 or email bblackshear@bakerchamberfl.com.
