Independence Day Celebration


The 3rd Annual Independence Day Celebration was held at Memorial Park on Friday, the 4th of July. The sky was overcast and a nice breeze was blowing, which made for a pleasant afternoon at the park. Most of our vendors were happy with the day.  The entertainment was very good and scheduled nicely by Helen Taylor and Sharon Beavers. Thanks to Phantom Fireworks, The City of Macclenny Fire Department, Helen Taylor and Sharon Beavers, the vendors and everyone that attended the event. 

Chamber night @ the Suns Game

Friday, June 20 was the Chamber night @ the Suns game.  The weather was great and it was a fun time meeting new people, watching the game and the awesome fireworks after the game.  The last inning was very exciting and the Suns won 5-4
. 

Lunch and Learn

Chris Doolin, small county coalition lobbyist from Tallahasse, was the speaker at our Lunch and Learn Tuesday, July 15. Chris gave a quick  look back at 2014 and a quick look forward to 2015.  Some major influences on 2014 session was *Economy in Recovery; *Experienced Leadership in Senate House; and *Election Year.  Some influences on 2105 are *Outcome of November Elections; *New House Speaker and Senate President and *Revenue /Will Economic Recovery Continue.
