Stanford Inn & Tea Room Events Listed (07/22/11)
Mark your calendars now for “A deVine Affair” wine with Friends, a special wine tasting coming up on Saturday, July 30. This special evening event features a five course meal with wine pairings. Reservations are required.
Evening dinner is served Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are necessary and may be made online at www.thestanfordinn.com/555dinner.html or call (863) 533-2393. An enhanced dinner menu features delicious appetizers and a variety of savory sides. Unique entrée dishes range from past favorites pan-seared rib-eye, pork osso buco, chicken ala crème, to new options of smokey applewood salmon, BBQ ribs, and fettuccine Alfredo, to name a few; several chef specialties that will change nightly. A new Sunday Brunch Buffet will join regular favorites of turkey pot pie, pot roast & pork loin and dressing, served 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Movie addicts will recognize The Stanford Inn & Tea Room from the 1991 film, “My Girl,” starring Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin.
Main Street Bartow will be presenting the movie “My Girl” on August 26 on the Movies on the Lawn in downtown Bartow. The Stanford Inn will be giving out Stanford Inn and Tea Room gift certificates to the first 50 head of household of family attending. August 27, a youth scavenger hunt, themed “movies tied to Bartow” and Sunday, August 28 a “My Girl” lookalike contest with one winner from each character of Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anna Chlumsky, and Macaulay Culkin, will be held.
