BARTOW CHAMBER WEEKLY

THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

By Clint Edwards

Gooooooooooooood Mooooorning Bartow Chamber!

This is your 2017 Bartow Chamber President Clint Edwards; and I’m coming to you every quarter with exciting news and updates from the world of your Bartow Chamber of Commerce.

I am extremely enthusiastic about this upcoming year. For my first ever column, I want to give you insight into two of my personal goals as chamber president. One of the goals is very achievable, and the other is a little more lofty.

My first goal as president is to increase member participation. I am very passionate about this; and I can first-hand attest to the true benefit you'll receive in getting involved with chamber activities. I am going to be compiling a list of members I want to see more involved in activities; and hopefully get a chance to take some of you to lunch to introduce you to the benefits of getting involved and encouraging you to support our amazing community. So, I hope you’ve got an appetite ready, because we will eat well and deliciously.

My second goal as Chamber President, is to bring one major food or retail business to our community. I have a strong business belief of “if you’re not growing, you’re dying.” Our community is in huge need of fresh business that can bring more business with it. It is my passion to reach out to a major retailer and encourage them to take a look at our great community and see what we truly have to offer.

I am very excited about taking on this role; and look forward to eating lunch with a lot of you over the next year. This will be an exciting year, and I cannot wait to bring everyone with me on this adventure.

And, at the end of my columns, I plan to end them with a famous quote from a movie, so here goes - “Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight!”

CLINT
