Paula Invitation to all Chamber members that are interested in participating in the next Wine Walk. We will be having a meeting at the Golf Course on May 6th at 6:00 pm to discuss and try the different wines/beer that you can serve at the next wine walk.We will also be discussing how you can improve your salesand advertising at the event.Please call the Chamber office for more information.635-8245 Our Movies in the Park are gong to be starting up again. Our first one is on May 17th,Sponsored by CORE Construction. It will be a drive-in movie at the dirt lot next to the High School at dusk. Our June 21st movie Sponsored by Port of Subs will start our series in Elquist Park with movies continuing on July 19th and August 9th.The last movie of the season will be in September and will be a drive-in. If your business is looking to advertise before the movie starts please call the Chamber to get your ad put into the power point presentation. Ads are due 7days before each movie and must be in jpg format. Paula You are cordially invited to the first “Business After Hours” gathering for Battle Mountain Chamber of Commerce Time: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm Place: Battle Mtn. Civic Center Date: April 23, 2013 One of the goals of the Chamber is to provide our members with more interaction and to assist you in any way we can so that you can continue to run a successful business in Lander County. The activities the Chamber has planned are not only great for the businesses that participate but it provides a positive interaction within the community. The April 23rd meeting will be to inform the members of our plans for the year and to get ideas from you business owners of topics you would be interested in learning more about. For example we have been told that any tax information for businesses would be a topic that would interest members. This meeting will give us ideas on what topics to discuss at the next “Business After Hours” gathering. We will also introduce the new board members and provide the Chamber members with the 2013 schedule of events. We have many events planned this year including wine walks and movies in the park. We will discuss the free benefits that come with membership as well as additional advertising opportunities that are coming up throughout the year. We urge all Chamber members to attend and if you are unable please send an employee or representative so that they can share with you the Chambers plans and ideas of what we can do to benefit the members. This meeting will set the tone for future gatherings so please attend and share your ideas and thoughts. If you know of a business that is not part of the Chamber, please bring them with you or invite them to attend to see how we can help them grow their business. April Lander County Sheriff's Office will be having it's Annual Bingo Caner Fundraiser. It will be held at the Civic Center on April 11th at 6:00 pm. 10 for $10 and a 50/50 raffle. please come out and supprt this great cause !
