60th Anniversary of American Southwest Credit Union & Spotlight Business of the Month!
American Southwest Credit Union celebrated their 60th Anniversaryof being in business Friday, April 10th. Congradulations to them! There was free hotdogs and sodas sponsored by Wild Dogs, free popcorn, raffle prizes, and a ribbon cutting. They are also the Chamber's Spotlight Business of the Month. With their continued service to the local area, for so many years, the Chamber felt like we should make them the Spotlight Business and have it coincide with their anniversary. If you haven't seen what the Credit Union offers their customers, then pop on by 654 E. 7th Street (on the corner of 7th and Hwy 80) and talk to Manager Erin Brown!
Fat Possum's Grand Opening is a Success!
If you haven't had a chance yet, please stop by the Fat Possum Coffee House! It is located on the North side of 4th street between Barney's car lot, and Long Realty. They offer a variety of homemade baked goods, made and baked on site, a large variety of coffee drinks, Italian (non caffiene) sodas made to your flavor preferance, regular sodas mixed to your flavor preferance (like an old fashioned soda shop!), andsandwich specials They also are offering services for get togethers. Last Saturday, April 25th, was the first Farmer's Market! The Market is located between the Cowboy Way and The Ice Cream Stop on 4th Street in Benson. The hours are 8 - Noon every Saturday!
