Working with the city on a Business directory at Walmart for the interstate travelers
The Chamber is currently working with the City of Benson Visitor Center to have the business directory placed next to the Walmart parking lot. The city owns that property and this is where many of the people who travel stop. This will help people drive people to your business by the ones that are listed on this directory and by driving people to the chamber office where your business will be refered to them when we give them a Chamber Member directory.

City Building Codes may affect your business
Chapter seven building codes at the city is attempting to pass will hurt business here in the community. We are stand with you against the city adopting these codes. The code were placed in the hands of a third party for review howeve,r be aware that these are not the codes that are on the website now. They have been since changed and do not represent the code sent for review. This issue has be very controversial and the Chamber is keeping an eye on what happens with these codes. We like others have stated we are not against the city adopting good building codes we are against the statement that there is no more grandfather cluase on these codes and could criminalize the residents and business owners.
