Chamber Corporate Sponsor Spotlight - Boulder Dam Credit Union
As part of the Chamber Corporate Sponsorship investment, partners have the chance to be highlighted in newsletters. This months spotlight features the Boulder Dam Credit Union which has served residents since 1940.
Boulder Dam Credit Union is a $500m credit union that serves over 25,000 members, through online and mobile banking as well as our location right here in the heart of Boulder City, NV. The credit union was chartered in 1940 to serve the workers at Boulder Dam – which, of course, later became known to the world as Hoover Dam. BDCU was the first financial institution in Boulder City with membership limited to those who live, work or own property in the town as well as those federal workers who service the dam.
When you join Boulder Dam Credit Union, you are not a customer… you are a member owner! Unlike banks, we do not have stockholders, our members are owners of a cooperative, not-for-profit financial institution. BDCU has been a staple in Boulder City for over 75 years, offering a variety of financial products and services for members and businesses. We always look to serve our members in the best way possible in the form of lower interest rates on loans, higher returns on your deposits, lower fees, and exceptional service.
The credit union offers a wide variety of services to meet your needs throughout your life. Whether you are looking to finance your first home, build for retirement, set up accounts for your business, or even open a credit card. We believe in providing low or no cost financial solutions for our members and their families.
