I-11 Updates
Interstate 11 is underway! You may have noticed an increase in activity between Wagonwheel and Railroad Pass over the past few weeks. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are running simultaneously and the project is due for completion in 2018. While the creation of the Interstate, which eventually connects the only two states in the nation without a direct interstate, will enhance travel and commerce between Arizona and Nevada. The Chamber is committed to being at the forefront of the generation of activities that will drive tourists to our city despite the bypass. We will continue to promote our businesses and encourage everyone to shop local to help our small businesses thrive. We are working on a host of other projects to continue to drive tourism into Boulder City. In the interim, please visit the I-11 Design-Build Project website to see up to date progress and check out the webcams! You can watch the progress right on your computer!

Second Saturdays Kicks Off for the Fall
It was an amazing time for all that participated in the September Second Saturdays! The ABC Wine Walk (that's Anything But Clothes) was a fun time for all that attended. It was also the Chamber's first Human Foosball Tournament as well! Make sure that if you have a team for October you stop by the Chamber and register your team. Here is what one of the businesses said about the Second Saturdays: "It was so much fun! The guests were just so amusing and happy to be out and about. Thank you and the Chamber for such a fun event and we look forward to October. Soooooooo much fun!" If your business has not participated in the Wine Walk, feel free to reach out to Julie McAnany, Events Director for details on how you can be a part of it! We are seeing an increase in walkers throughout the Historic District every month and our businesses are loving the extra business! This event is one of the ways the Chamber is helping to sustain tourism in our community! We have people from all over the valley that come out, some staying the night in our hotels and many eating at our restaurants in addition to visiting and buying from our local businesses. If you haven't checked it out, October 10 is the next Second Saturday! Make sure you head on down and see what you've been missing!

Check out the Boulder City Chamber Youtube channel here for other exciting videos highlighting some of our local businesses! Here is just a taste of all of the great activities during the September Second Saturdays!
