Chautauqua Returns

2009 Boulder City Chautauqua - MYTH, ROMANCE, & REALITY OF THE WEST will take place at the Boulder Theatre on Saturday, September 19th, at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Chautauqua scholar David Fenimore will perform as ZANE GREY at 1:30 p.m. and musical entertainment will feature guitarist/singer Steve Cottrell.

At 6:30 p.m., scholar Tyler Stewart will take the stage as ANNIE OAKLEY, followed by Anita Watson portraying a controversial Virginia City pioneer woman MARY McNAIR MATHEWS. Musical entertainment features Clare Tobler's Every Wednesday Bluegrass group.

THIS CHAUTAUQUA PROGRAM IS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE BOULDER CITY HOOVER DAM MUSEUM. Tickets on sale at Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum, the Boulder Dam Hotel Lobby, ACE Hardware, B.C. News office.

Tickets are $15 for each show. There will also be a fundraising reception on Friday evening, September 18, 5:30-7:30 - in the Boulder Dam Hotel Lobby. Tickets are $35. Call 293-0833,or 293-7688 for more information about these events.

 

Welcome Corner Ready For Events!!

All the final touches have been installed and placed on the new LED welcome corner board and we're ready to take your registration forms for events.  Please contact the Chamber for all the details and to get a copy of the new policies and procedures.  Applications need to be submitted 6 weeks prior to the event in order to allow processing time and 30 days worth of event message display.

Last Chance for Tuachan Tickets!!!

You aren't going to want to miss the BUS!!   The weather at Tuachan in September is beautiful and you won't find a host like Ihla Crowley anywhere else.  Ihla has worked hard at arranging this trip and one of the highlights will be the "mini-Chautauqua" like performances that will take place at each historical venue we'll be sightseeing.   Lunch and dinner are included and yes...the bus does have a restroom!!!!

Lions Club Golf Tournament

The Boulder City Lions Club is holding a golf tournament fundraiser on September 5th at 7am at the Boulder City Municipal Golf Course.  If you would like to register, please call Walter Stocker at 480-4341.  The fee is $100/person and includes green fee, cart and lunch.  Donations or Sponsorships accepted.  A sign on a Tee Box is $100.  Call Walter for more details.

Boulder City Police Department Citizens Academy

The BCPD offes an amazing community program that allows local citizens to attend a structured program and learn about the many facets of local police work.  Please see the links below for further details about the program and it's future schedule.
