Have you attended a Monthly Mixer before? Did you know we are one of the only Chambers in Southern Nevada that don't charge for our Mixers? It is free and open to the public and a great place to network with other business owners, find target customers, build relationships and make some new connections. If you're business could use some help getting in front of new clients or your brand, we hope you'll join us. This month, come check out some of the 'silent' businesses that are Chamber investors. These businesses are either home-based and don't have a brick and mortar for customers to visit or they are our out of town businesses that have joined the Chamber due to value, target base, outreach or other factors. The fun starts on Wednesday, October 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Boulder Creek. Bring your business cards and be prepared for an hour or two of building relationships or finding new ones! We hope you can make it!

Our Mixers are ALWAYS on the second Wednesday of the month, except in May (where we are dark for Spring Jamboree) and August (to accommodate the Veteran's Home schedule). We also set up Facebook events for every mixer! Follow our page, or better yet, give it a "like" for the location of the November Mixer!

Our mission statement is to promote business and commerce for the Boulder City area through leadership in economic, political and social development. At our core, we believe that when businesses succeed, a community succeeds so we have created a Locals Love page designed to direct traffic to our investor businesses that have specials or deals they would like to promote. This is a free advertisement opportunity and all businesses are encouraged to participate. These are specific 'mention only' specials, meaning the customers that come into your establishment will only get the deal if they "mention" the ad and where they saw it. Trunk or Treat is a couple weeks early this year! Join us on Saturday October 13 for food, games, costume contest, haunted hay rides through the haunted forest and trunk or treating and more! One of the great ways to get your business name out there is to open your trunk and hand out candy to the kids and goodies to the parents! Historically, we park roughly 300 cars with an average of four people to a car, that's a potential 1200 people that your business can be in front of. We've had businesses decorate their trunks, hand out bags of candy with their business cards on them and coupons to visit the business later. Be creative! If families are your target customer, then we hope you'll come on by!

There is absolutely nothing short of activities in the month of October! Make sure you check out the calendar for things to do or better yet, let the community in on what's happening at your business! List your specials, sales, events, etc. all right on the calendar!
