Has this year gone by fast or what? Shop Small Business Saturday is again upon us where consumers are encouraged to give a little love to the small businesses that thrive in our communities. You may have seen our annual shop small article we publish in the Boulder City Magazine designed to highlight all of the places locals can get products and services here locally. Shopping small not only helps our local businesses but also establishes positive relationships with our communities. We encourage you to start thinking about your Shop Small Business Saturday activities, social marketing, etc because we want to help drive as much traffic into Boulder City for shopping, eating and touring as we can.

We're starting on November 3 with our very first Best Dam Golf Game. We are expecting several out of town participants who will be spending a beautiful morning out at Boulder Creek for golf, food and prizes! Also on November 3, the first Pooch Parade is happening at Bicentennial Park. Come on out and check out the fancy pooches strutting their stuff with their humans! On November 10, the Best Dam Wine Walk is back! We expect November and December Wine Walks to be PACKED with people. We have also added some new stops and with new stops, comes more people. Fox BBQ along with some other local businesses participated in this a while back and received an increase in their business almost immediately. Channel 8 is looking for businesses who are looking to expand their business reach to the valley during the Las Vegas Now segment, a daily weekday show dedicated to lifestyle, food, entertainment. They highlight local chefs, community organizations and events, and businesses. For a small investment of $300 you'll get:

Boulder City Hospital is looking for feedback from local residents. The results of the survey will be used by hospital administration and the board of directors to assess the community health needs in Boulder City. As a non-profit hospital, Boulder City Hospital is required by federal law to complete a community health needs assessment every three years. The hospital is also required to develop a community health improvement plan based on the results of the survey and a community-wide assessment of health care needs. You can find the survey here until December 7 and should take 8-10 minutes to complete. The first annual Best Dam Golf Game is happening tomorrow at Boulder Creek. We have several teams joining us for a great morning of golf, food and prizes. It's the inaugural event so it will only get bigger next year! November 10 brings the Best Dam Wine Walk! We are celebrating our veterans so wear your best Americana garb and be ready to visit some new stops added this month! We are back at Grace Christian Academy for check in and Daisies in the Desert is our theme judge for the night! See you at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday November 10! November 14 is our Monthly Mixer at COOL (Country of Origin Label). We will likely be progressing through the rest of Nevada Way so bring a light jacket in case it's cool!
