Business Resources for COVID-19

Did anyone else feel like March had 8,000 days? And how much our world changed in just 31 days, LITERALLY. We are still taking every day minute by minute with the flood of information coming in at the Chamber at the local, state, and national level. When all of this started, we created a COVID- 19 Resource Page for businesses and the public to reference. If you haven't visited it lately, make sure to check it daily if not at least 2-3 times a week. Resources are published daily on assistance, businesses that are open, restaurant updates, and city updates. We highly recommend you bookmark it as a favorite so you can find it quickly when you need it.

Non-profits can see a summary of the CARES Act here to see what opportunities are available for assistance.

Also, be sure your business has the newest Employee Rights poster highlighting the new expanded leave for employees granted by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. You can find the poster here. Find the entire press release here that was published March 25 with links to all of the changes impacting employees. Find answers to popular questions along with links for all of the changes due to the pandemic.

SBA Paycheck Protection Program Webinars

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance will be hosting weekly webinars regarding the new SBA Paycheck Protection Program to help businesses navigate the ever changing landscape of assistance available to small businesses across the U.S. We HIGHLY encourage all small businesses to attend if possible and the first one is Tuesday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. PDT. Register with this link to save your spot. Make sure you are in our Facebook group exclusively for our small businesses in/around Boulder City. Critical information that can't wait for the newsletter is always shared there first.

Community Calendar UPDATES

You probably have noticed that most of the events on the Community Calendar for April have been cancelled, however the Chamber will continue to use it as a way to publish webinars and other virtual events. Make sure you check it often and don't miss the next Virtual Coffee with Congresswoman Susie Lee on Wednesday April 8. Find details here including the Zoom link needed to attend the Chamber Chat. Oh and while you're there, checkout the new calendar details format! Let us know what you think!
