Weekly Chamber Broadcast Email ~ The Chamber Means Business

Last Chance on Christmas Events

Be sure to get your Coloring Book application and payment turned in this week to be included in the Annual Coloring Book that will be distributed at Santa's Picture Party and through schools in Henderson.  It's great advertising, supports the community events, and is fun for our kids.  Last day to turn those in is Friday, November 20th to go to print on Monday, November 23rd.  If you'd like an application, the link is below.

Also, the King Kids Shopping Days will be December 9th and 10th this year, so all of those businesses in the Historic District that would like to be included in the Annual Coupon Book need to respond to this email and let me know you'd like to stay in the book.  I have copies of your coupons from last year if you'd like to review them.

We also have the parade applications available in the link below, and get those turned in by November 24th to be included in the television publicity.  We have to have a script completed by that date to give to Cox, so we can not publish late entries.

Grandma Daisy's Wins in Pink

Congratulations to Beth and Jessie Walker at Grandma Daisy's for winning the Business Decoration Award for the BC Goes Passionately Pink event.  When the judges walked in and the pink feathers swirled around on the floor, she was a shoe-in.  Thank you for your great support of the event and for wanting to make a difference.

We'd like to thank all of the businesses that entered the contest:  Plaza Realty, Grandma Daisy's, Curve's of Boulder City and the Boulder Dam Credit Union.  You are all winners and thank you so much for taking the time.

Phenomenal Members!

In the last week, we've had a lot of calls regarding great customer service and praise for our members.  I just wanted to share a couple from today.  In the future, you will see a column dedicated to thanking members for all that they do.  We'll be sure to get everyone included eventually.

Wells Fargo~A summer resident was in town and needed to cash a check.  She went to Wells Fargo and was immediately assisted by the Manager Dean and his staff.  She left very happy with her service and had great praise for the customer service she received.

Greatful Pet Animal Clinic~Dr. Flannery and his staff won over a Las Vegas resident that had been looking for a Vet to assist her dogs.  She had been given a very high quote in Las Vegas and then found it to be almost half that price with Dr. Flannery.  She has become a loyal customer and spends her dollars here in BC.

So watch for you business to show up in the new "Phenomenal Members" column.  We'll be sure each member gets a turn at the free publicity.  A big "thank you" to all of you for making it so easy to recognize you for great customer service!
