Exchange Student Families Needed

CETUSA, a State Department approved organization,  is looking for a family to house a foreign student for the academic year. These students have been carefully screened and it is a chance to show how friendly we Americans can be.  Life long friends have been made in this way. Students from Germany, France, Italy, Thailand and a total of 50 different countries want to come to America for an academic year at our local schools. If anyone is interested contact Gordon Ball at 293-4147.

National Letter Carriers Annual Food Drive

This will take place this year on May 8, 2010 and Albertsons has partnered with Goodwill, United Way and the Girl Scouts to make this event an overwhelming success. All food donations will stay here in Boulder City and the recipient is Boulder City Emergency Aid. The girl scouts will be in front of Albertsons, but instead of selling cookies will be asking for donations for money to buy food with or non-perishable food donations.

All food is welcome, so look in your pantries and find that food you wanted to try but never ate. Foods from other retailers will be accepted and of course you can give the food to your letter carrier, but Albertsons will serve as a central location to drop off.  Boulder City Emergency Aid could use your support.

Light refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend. For further information, call the BCRW information hotline at 393-1228.
