About Us

Founded in 1990, we are an Architectural and Interior Architectural firm.  We are located in Bedford, New York, Saranac Lake, New York, and Branford, Connecticut.

We specialize in artisanal, heirloom quality residential projects, and also work in hospitality, health, civic, and commercial design projects.

We enjoy designing with recycled buildings and building materials, as well as commissioning the work of artisans within our projects.  We are passoniate about imbuing projects with romance and poetry, and the mark of hand made craft.

Our mission is to create "heirloom architecture," thereby creating evocative environments that will be cherished by a client's family for several generations.

Typically our works are connected with the vision that they should appear to have been lovingly and sturdily built a hundred years in the past, and will endure a hundred years forward.

We create a spatial response to our client's lifestyle vision, and marry this to the unique features and moods their sites present.

Such buildings are sculpted to their user, and are uniquely nestled to their setting.  This achievement serves as a living, loving legacy for our clients and their progeny; and enduring gift of sanctuary and replenishment.
