Steven Hogue is a treasured husband, dad, brother, and friend to countless. He is also a member of the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce. Tragedy struck the evening of January 12, 2015 as Steve some how managed to drive home feeling extremely dizzy and exhausted. While trying to relax and regain his bearings, Steve began to profusely vomit and his words became unclear and sluggish. With numbness evident on his left side the ambulance was contacted. Steven was rushed to West Valley Hospital’s Emergency room where the doctors were able to stabilize him for transport to Barrows Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix where he underwent brain surgery to remove a blood clot and alleviate ample amounts of pressure due to blood and cerebral spinal fluid.
Praise God that Steven’s surgery went perfectly and is recovering in the Neuro Intensive Care unit currently. Even though he is still on a ventilator to help control his breathing Steven is eager and determined to once again be at home with his loving family, continue to operate his transmission shop, and in spite of all that has occurred, be the cheery, comical, caring man he is.
All of the funds that are raised on Steven’s behalf will help pay for all of the incurred medical expenses and his future rehabilitation. Thank you in advance for your generosity in helping Steve and his family in this time of hardship.
