Congratulations to our Member of the Week the Buckeye Valley Fire District. We enjoyed ​catching up with Chief Mike Duran. Did you know the recent vote (11/07/2017) approved the Buckeye Valley Rural Fire District issuance of $14.2 million general obligation bonds for additional rescue and fire apparatus; new emergency medical equipment; new self-contained breathing apparatus; additional emergency communication equipment; equipment replacements; land acquisition; and facilities construction and renovation. This bond passed with 60.5% approval. Congratulations to the Buckeye Valley Fire District!

If you missed the Demolition Derby in Buckeye this past weekend, you missed an awesome event! More than a dozen cars battled over their portion of the $3,000 in prize money! The lawnmower races, kids races, great food, and fun were a huge part of the success. Huge congratulations to the City of Buckeye for another successful event enjoyed by all!
Congratulations to Buckeye Elementary School District
Congratulations to Buckeye Elementary School District on the results of the recent election (11/07/2017). With a 52.1% pass, this approval authorizes a seven-year 10% maintenance and operation budget override beginning FY 2018-2019. The $2,455,716 funds will be used for staff salaries and benefits, to attract and retain 49 highly qualified teachers, and allow BESD to keep class sizes small, maintain competitive salaries, offer all-day free kindergarten, Art, Music, Band, PE, guidance counselors, and reading and math intervention specialists in every school. Congratulations BESD!
