I-10 Restrictions

Travel Alert: Daytime
lane restrictions on
Interstate 10 near
Buckeye scheduled to
begin October 29

Eastbound drivers should expect delays and allow
extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises
drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on
astbound I-10 west of the metro-Phoenix region
beginning early Monday, Oct. 29, and
continuing for several weeks.

Maintenance work is scheduled to occur between
411th Avenue (milepost 94) and State Route
5 (milepost 112). Crews are scheduled to build up
he shoulder of the roadway in the 18-mile
work zone.

To protect the safety of workers adjacent to the
interstate, at least one travel lane must be
closed. Drivers should plan for the following
restriction scheduled to be in place through
Thursday, Dec. 20:

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane
  • Mondays through Fridays from 6 am to 3:30 pm
  • Note: Restrictions will be lifted on Veterans’
  • Day (Monday, Nov. 12) and from Wednesday,
  • Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 23, because of
  • the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • Motorists should anticipate a 3-mile lane
  • closure daily as workers move through the
  • 18-mile
  • work zone.

Delays are likely, so travelers should allow extra
travel time.

Drivers should obey posted speed limits and
raffic control devices and use caution around
construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on
weather and other unforeseen factors. For more
information, please call the ADOT Project
Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email
