About Emergency Care Help Organization, Inc. (ECHO)
Located in Tallahassee, Florida, Emergency Care Help Organization, Inc. (ECHO) is a Christian faith-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families in crisis achieve long-term stability. Since its founding in 1981, ECHO has served the Big Bend region by offering emergency relief and support services that empower people to move from crisis to self-sufficiency.
Founded by Toni Tran with the vision of “echoing” God’s love and blessings to those in need, ECHO began as a collaboration between five downtown churches and has grown into the largest Christian human services agency in Tallahassee. Today, ECHO serves thousands annually through four core programs: Emergency Resources, Family Services, Housing Assistance, and The Furniture Bank of Tallahassee.
With a small dedicated staff and a wide network of volunteers, ECHO provides essential support, food, clothing, housing, and case management, while fostering hope, dignity, and independence. Our mission is to reduce poverty and homelessness by helping others help themselves through compassionate, faith-driven service.
