SAVE THE DATE (05/06/12)
Come join in on the fun as we prep for the Indian Valley Chamber's Century Ride. We are starting our season off as the caterer for the IVCC's annual bike ride on May 26th. Though we may be busy preparing for the event that draws up to 500 riders, we will be open for beverages and light deli fare from 5 until 9 on the 25th of May. On the 26th you can purchase a lunch ticket from the Chamber. That will be the only food service that day due to the sheer volume of hungry / thirsty riders. We will close on the 25th at 5pm to attend a fundraiser in Taylorsville for our owner / operator Robert Meacher who is a candidate for the California State Assembly. You can find Robert on the web at robertmeacher.com or call 530-284-6361 for information about the "Store" or Robert's run for the assembly.
We will be officially open for dinner service, by reservation, Friday June 8th.
Closed on major holidays, and selected blackout dates. Season ends January 1st.

About Us
Located 6 miles east of Taylorsville lies the historic stage stop known as the Genesee Store. The store has been owned and operated by Robert & Carol Meacher and their family for over 20 years.
The Genesee Store Bistro and Deli offers an array of flavors which Robert has collected on his travels all over the world. After spending 13 years in the US Merchant Marine, traveling on a Delta Steam Ship around Latin America, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Pacific Rim, Robert was able to cultivate the flavors he encountered by specializing as a self-taught Sous Chef. If you are in the Indian Valley area, don't miss out on a little taste of culture by stopping at the Genesee store for a Hawaiian Hotdog covered in Papaya Salsa with Asian Slaw, the popular Mushroom Gorgonzola Burger on a Mexican Torta roll, the “Famous” Roast Beef Riviera Sandwich on sourdough with our house- made basil pesto, among other specialties. And, while your there, try one of the "Store's" award winning soups or chowders! Robert is the 3-time winner of the Great High Sierra Chowder Cookoff. He proudly displays his trophies in the dining area.
The Genesee Store Bistro / Deli has a little something for everyone, whether you're on a Lo-Carb diet, diabetic, or vegan! No matter what your tastebuds ask for- it's almost a guarantee that your palette will leave pleased and satisfied ! And, your wallet will be happy as well, as prices are very reasonable and they accept all major credit cards.
Robert & Carol are proud supporters of local artisans and their wares, encouraging them to exhibit and sell their talents in the store, providing a haven for people that appreciate the art of flavor and the passions of real people.
