About Us

About UsAbout UsAbout UsAbout Us
Welcome to our beautiful home at Lake Almanor. We call it “LongShot Lodge”. We hope to provide you lots of valuable information here, as well as having some fun! So browse around and come back as often as you like.

Our home has 1650 sq.ft. spread over two levels. Open-beamed ceilings upstairs and floor to ceiling windows to the forrest outdoors contribute to the open airy feeling. You enter the main floor, 8 stairs up from the entry way. The living room, dining room and kitchen area are all on the upper level. The kitchen includes a “breakfast counter” with 2 stools; and comes very well equipped. The dining room table has a removable middle leaf and comes with chairs for 6 but could comfortably accommodate at least 8. Off of the dining room is the master bedroom with a king sized bed and private shower bath.

From the entry way, down 7 stairs, are the rest of the bedrooms. At the bottom of the landing, to the left is what we call “bedroom #1”, it has a queen bed. Next is the “middle bedroom”, which contains a full bed. Further down the hall, past the laundry room, is the “bedroom #3”, it contains another full bed, a computer desk and plenty of floor space. All three of the downstairs bedrooms share a full bath with tub.

The entire back of the house, both upper and lower levels, is lined by redwood deck. Every bedroom has its own sliding glass door to the deck outside

The backyard includes a gently sloping lawn area, a small garden ( at least whatever the deers leave behind), and a small deck ...just right for a comfortable chair and a book or a glass of wine amongst the trees.

The drive way is shaped like a backwards “J” down a hill. There is parking down below for 2- 3 cars. And close to the top of the drive is an area off of the main drive, perfect for a boat trailer or another car....comes in handy during our snowy winters. And sometimes in the winter, its just easier to park up on the street. There is no garage “yet” but it’s planned. There are about 4 small steps from the lower parking area to the entrance of our comfortable home. Come on in!
