The St. Bernard Lodge is a quiet mountain retreat in an undiscovered area of beautiful Northern Callifonia. Convienently located between Lassen Volcanic National Park and Lake Almanor, just 10 miles West of Chester on Hwy. 36.
Enjoy the rustic warmth of a charming mountain getaway. The St. Bernard Lodge is a historic, four season, resort offering a hearty meal, cozy room or refreshing beverage to weary travelers and guests since 1919.
Sharon Roberts has been running the property for the past 13 years, she previously lived in a high desert area where she ran a dude ranch and discovered her niche of being accommodating and hospitable. She took over the St.Bernard Bed and Breakfast as a smaller venture to focus her efforts on.
Experience the sensation of stepping back in time as you ascend the staircase to the 7 comfortable and charming rooms, many with king size beds. Luxurious bath robes are provided in each room for your comfort and are especially usefull when you visit the outdoor spa. The warmth and comfort continue as you enjoy your favorite beverage and play a game of pool in the newly remodeled tavern. With rosewood pub tables and comfortable chairs it's the perfect place to relax and visit with the other guests. Dine in casual elegance on lace covered tables in our dining room. A full breakfast is included with your stay. Lunch and dinner are available by reservation. Take a stroll along our soothing trout pond and even join in a feeding the fish every morning at breakfast! The best food in town-with even better prices!
Miles of trails are available from our back door for your hiking, horseback riding or 4-wheeling pleasure. The Lodge has pipe corrals and fenced pasture for overnight horse boarding. It is located 1.9 miles from the world famous Pacific Crest Trail. Parking for your boat, ATV, or horse trailer is also available, or snow-mobile in for winter!
