Planning for the Future: Chamber Survey Results

Our Chamber Board is in the process of planning for the future.  This past month we reached out to our members, new, old and past to share their thoughts in a survey about the Chamber, their business and our community.  The surevey was sent to 200 businesses. 56% of those who received the email opened it (112 businesses). Of those who opened the email, 36 took the brief survey, a 32% response rate. Not bad for our first survey!

The Board will use this information in our upcoming strategy planning sessions, now scheduled for March. Results are below for your review.

Question: Rank the Chamber services or events that are, of value or interest to you.

As you see here, developing, beautifying and cleaning up Main St, Chester is the top ranked item. Next is marketing the Lake Almanor area, followed by the Community Calendar of Events and our Visitor web site LakeAlmanorArea.com

Question: What challenges do you find in the community that hinder your ability to truly maximize your business potential? (Click here)

Question: If you had a magic wand, what would you do to the area to improve business success? (Click Here)

Welcome Baskets Delivered to 18 New Community Members

David Baker, Chamber Volunteer extraordinaire, has delivered 18 of 20 Welcome Baskets to new members of the communities of Chester, Lake Almanor, Clear Creek and Westwood. All of them relocated to our area from the Camp Fire.

We thank the incredible response we got from the businesses and organizations in these communities who donated to these baskets. When topped off with freshly baked goodies before delivery, they were amazing.

For more information, or when you become aware of someone new in your neighborhood, please call 530-258-2426 or email info@lakealmanorarea.com and ask for the Welcome Wagon.
