About Us

Comfort Keepers

Welcome to Comfort Keepers, where our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our clients with the utmost compassion and professionalism. At Comfort Keepers, we believe in treating each individual with the respect and dignity they deserve, just as we would care for a member of our own family. Our team of dedicated caregivers, whom we affectionately call Comfort Keepers®, undergo rigorous selection, screening, and training to ensure they deliver the highest standard of care with warmth and empathy.

Founded in 2002 by Neil and Jennifer Goforth, Comfort Keepers was born out of a recognition of the growing need for quality in-home care services in Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, and Nevada Counties. Neil and Jennifer saw Comfort Keepers® as a means to empower seniors to age gracefully in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Their entrepreneurial spirit has allowed them to positively impact the lives of our cherished seniors, who have contributed so much to our communities. Neil often reflects on the resilience and strength of seniors, acknowledging their invaluable contributions throughout history, including navigating through adversities like The Great Depression and rebuilding communities after natural disasters. Comfort Keepers® is honored to serve these esteemed individuals and their families during their time of need.

At Comfort Keepers, we are committed to revolutionizing in-home senior care through our Interactive Caregiving™ approach, which is centered on four key pillars: promoting mental and physical activity, ensuring proper nutrition, and maintaining a safe environment. Through Interactive Caregiving™, we aim not only to meet the physical needs of our clients but also to engage them socially, emotionally, and cognitively, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life beyond what traditional in-home care providers offer.
