Welcome to E Center, a private non-profit agency dedicated to building healthy communities through education, employment, and environmental awareness. Located at 1506 Starr Drive in Yuba City, California, our organization envisions inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Our commitment to these principles is reflected in the diverse programs and services we administer, aimed at fostering strong, healthy, and supportive environments for individuals and families.
E Center proudly administers a variety of federally funded programs designed to support healthy development and family well-being in Northern California. These programs include Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); Head Start; Early Head Start; Migrant and Seasonal Head Start; and Migrant Early Head Start. Our Head Start programs, which operate in nine Northern California counties—Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Sonoma, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, and Yuba—provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parental involvement services at no cost to participating families. Additionally, we offer state-funded childcare programs for children aged 0-3, ensuring that families in need have access to quality childcare services that support both child development and parental engagement in work or education.
At our Corporate Office in Yuba City, we work closely with the community to ensure our programs align with our core values: healthy children and families, community service, healthy environments, learning, trust in our relationships, dignity, and respect, open communication, creativity, and organizational efficiency.
