About Us
Abbey's Cottage is a quaint and very private cottage behind the main house. There is a large living room, one large bedroom with two queen beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, and outside deck where smoking is permitted. AC, central heat and wireless internet are included. The bathroom is equipped with a washer and dryer. The cottage is located in the village, a short walk to Main Street shopping, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Doubleday Field. Sorry, no pets. Open all year, onsite / off-street parking.
We provide off street parking so you can leave your car and walk. Or take the Trolley and visit the Farmers Museum and Fenimore House and the new Indian Exhibit.
Built in the mid-nineteenth century the "Village Tinsmith Shop" was converted in 1992 to a modern private cottage in back of the main house and offers all of the conveniences of home.
Located in the Village of Cooperstown it borders Doubleday Field. One short block brings you downtown for shopping. Two short blocks is the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Sleeping Accommodations
The bedroom has two Queen size beds and two additional can be accommodated on a Futon in the Living Room. All towels and linens are provided. The bedroom looks down over Doubleday Field.
Living Room
A large living room with Cable TV and a VCR. A desk is provided for your convenience. The Cottage is Air Conditioned and Heated for cooler weather. We are open all year.
Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen is available, including a Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Dishes, Pots & Pans etc.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a large shower and a full-sizeWasher and Dryer.
