A Conversation about Sex Trafficking in OUR Communities
03/19/2019
Human trafficking IS modern day slavery and it's happening right here in OUR Communities.

Human Sex Trafficking is big business for organized crime and for local pimps. Its one of those crimes that are hidden in plain sight - meaning, most of the victims go to school, church and live in stable homes. It`s hard to see they are even a victim. Research shows that the average age of recruitment into the commercial sex industry is 12-14 years old and that victims come from every race, ethnicity and socioeconomic background.

Come learn how youth and adults are being coerced into slavery, why they can't see their way out, and how we can keep our families safe.

Keynote Speaker: Theresa Flores - Best-selling author of “The Slave Across the Street,” survivor of sex trafficking and nationally known advocate. Flores shares how she was enslaved at the age of 15 while living with unsuspecting parents in an upper-middle-class suburb.

The Chamber of Commerce in 2019

Chamber Members and Friends,

I hope everyone stayed warm these past few days during our polar vortex.

First, I would like go give a big thank you to everyone that participated, volunteered, contributed and helped with the 2018 Christmas Parade. It turned out wonderfully because of everyone that contributed to this event.

Coming up in 2019, the Chamber is planning a few events. We would like to continue Coffee with Councilmen (and women). We would like to have our first this month. After the Aldermanic elections we would like to arrange more. Constituents can use this as an opportunity to meet and talk with their representatives. If you are interested in hosting a Coffee with Councilmen, please contact us.

The Chamber is currently working remotely, meaning we do not have a physical location. If you have any questions or need to contact us, please email us at info@waukeshaworks.com

Additionally, if you have any events or photos you would like to share on Facebook, send us a message or post on our wall!

When I formed Paragon Exteriors LLC I had one goal in mind; to provide top quality remodeling services in the Waukesha & Milwaukee County area. After spending a near decade working for other companies, I saw how certain business practices were done and did not feel they were necessarily efficient or always the best choice for the customer, but as an employee it wasn't my place to say anything.  Deep down I knew I could provide better quality workmanship and customer service at a price that was fair for both parties.

This business philosophy has served us well. It is our attention to detail with every project and our ever lasting commitment to our customers that provide us the many new customers that are referred to us.
