WORKER'S COMPENSATION:  EMPLOYERS/EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

 

Raine C. Wilson – A native of Los Angeles with a BA degree from UCLA in African-American Studies. Ms. Wilson has over 20 years experience in California Workers’ Compensation. She has been employed with the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) since 1994. Prior to her employment with DWC, Ms. Wilson worked for State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF) as a claims adjuster, rehabilitation coordinator and assistant claims manager from 1987 to 1994. As a Lead Workers’ Compensation Consultant with the Retraining and Return to Work Unit, Ms. Wilson looks forward to tackling those issues surrounding offers of work and the Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit and promoting Return to Work.

CA High Speed Rail Project Town Hall Meeting

This Town Hall meeting will bring elected officials, business leaders and stakeholders together to explore the issues surrounding implementation of the California High Speed Rail Project. The meeting will explore the disparities that may exist in the California High Speed Rail Authority’s current contracting practices, opportunities to further bolster the role that businesses play in the project and the types of opportunities for the thousands of small businesses throughout our state. This meeting will also serve as an opportunity to hear from the California High Speed Rail Authority directly about its efforts in outreach to local, small, and minority-based firms.
